Opportunity Cards are a great way to collect information, in order to follow up with a prospect at a later date.
An opportunity card is a great tool to have handy at all times. By keeping it simple, you can gather information from those who show an interest in your business. All you have to do is follow up with your prospect at their convenience. Here are some examples of when to use the opportunity card:
Home Jewelry Party, Event and Show – Offer a raffle prize, a number of pieces of jewelry & accessories which can be determined by you. Ask them to fill out the “Enter to WIN Free Jewelry & Accessories”
Out and About – Always carry a few opportunity cards “I would love to learn more” where ever you go. It is not uncommon to run into people who may be interested. Keep it super simple; if time is short, just get their information and the best time to contact them. If you tell them too much at once you may overload them with too much information. Have a flyer handy to give them just enough information, until you are able to contact them.
Don’t tell them anything, until you can tell them everything.
The fortune is in the follow up – (Step 5 of the 7 Savvy Steps). Sometimes you will have to follow up with prospects as much as a dozen times. The easiest way to explain this is their timing may not be good for them at that moment. When their timing is right, you want to be ready.
